Quetzalcoatl drawings - The feathered serpent

An envisioned head dress based upon a stone carving in the museum in Mexico city. It shows the subject wearing a headdress appearing from the upper jaw of a feathered serpent. Quetzalcoatl is the god of culture. The figure is snarling, showing his teeth possibly to display his jade inserts. The nose jewelry, ear plugs, and the head of the serpent, I have shown in jade, the stone considered more precious than gold. The elliptical iris tells us that the snake is venomous. Immediately behind the jade plated head is 3 bands of braiding into which the feathers of the quetzal bird are mounted. At the top their is what looks like a broach holding down the feathers.
