Henry Dunster

I know Henry Dunster to be skilled both in his understanding of cybernetic systems and as a draughtsman, illustrator and artist of quite exceptional ability. He proved also to be an excellent teacher, whom i was very pleased to have appointed to the faculty of the Ontario College of Art in Toronto in the early 1970's. His ability to imbue undergraduate students with both enthusiasm and understanding of systems theory and its practical applications to art and design practice constituted an important contribution to the creative pedagogy in which the College was at that time engaged.

I have seen little of him in the intervening years though i have no doubt that his personal and social skills, his interest in developing the potential creativity of the individual student, and his remarkable visual sensibility would continue to be evidenced in his teaching.

I am very happy to recommend him.

Yours sincerely Professor Roy Ascott President The Planetary Collegium http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plaetary_Collegium
